The Geysir Centre located at the famous spouting hot springs is one of the biggest souvenir shops in Iceland. Nearby is the Hotel Geysir.
Located near the world-famous Geysir geothermal area, the Geysir Centre offers a pleasant shopping atmosphere and a large selection. The ambiance is relaxed, allowing for a great shopping experience. The store’s design reflects the spirit of sustainability. The builders used recycled materials, diverse tools, and wooden pieces from abandoned farm houses.
Food and hotel
Here you’ll find a restaurant named Kantína, a cafe and ice-cream shop, a convenience grocery, and Supa (a fast-food soup outlet). You’ll also find a souvenir shop of mall-like proportions with Icelandic name brands. Hotel Geysir received the 2000 Innovation Prize from the Icelandic Tourist Board in recognition for the centre.
